WMAA Spring Intramural Soccer Update

There will be no intramural soccer this weekend.

WMAA has been approved for a special meeting with the Mayor and Council on Tuesday, March 30, at 7 pm, to discuss the user agreement and to hopefully gain approval for same. Anyone wishing to join this public meeting can do so by going to www.myersville.org, selecting Community Calendar on the left and then using either the zoom link or phone number to join the call. WMAA is also collecting any feedback you wish to provide for discussion at that meeting. Please send any feedback to WMAA President, Matt Lloyd, at [email protected]. Pending approval of the user agreement, intramural could start as early as next weekend.

In addition to our previously planned safety protocols, current user agreement terms with the Town of Myersville will require all players 5 and older to wear masks at all times while playing on the soccer field. Health screenings will be required each week and WMAA is responsible for ensuring we have a monitor in place to ensure compliance with the masking rules. Failure to comply could result in revocation of our user agreement ability to use Doub's Park for our sessions. Each registered parent received an email that included an attachment that detailed all safety protocols that will be in place.

Pending approval of the user agreement, directors will be in touch shortly to determine the start date for the season as either April 2 (Easter weekend) or April 9.
