WMAA Intramural Season Status

WMAA wants to apologize for the delay in information related to the start of the intramural season, currently scheduled for this Saturday, March 27, at Doub's Park. However, unfortunately, we are having difficulties maneuvering through the COVID 19 protocol requirements: 1) We haven't successfully negotiated a user agreement with the Town of Myersville because their expectations exceed what we believe is reasonable to provide; 2) We need to confirm that the requirements for the Frederick County Parks and Recreation have been updated to reflect the recent Executive Order changes in Maryland. Currently, spectators are prohibited, which obviously does not work for the intramural program. WMAA will be making some calls tomorrow morning to understand expectations therein.

So at this time, it appears highly likely that we will need to defer the start of the season to next weekend, April, 3, to allow an agreement to be reached if possible. We will be back in touch as soon as we have more definitive information.

We truly apologize. We know how anxious the kids are to get back onto the soccer field (or to do so for the first time) and WMAA so wants to provide this opportunity for them!!!
