Due to the continuing circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, there will, unfortunately, be no fall soccer through WMAA this season. The Frederick County Youth Soccer League (FCYSL) that WMAA is affiliated with canceled its fall season for travel soccer. For intramural, we carefully considered a potential season but due to the following factors, are not able to carry it out: 1) We cannot initiate a Use of Field agreement with the town of Myersville as they are not offering them due to the pandemic; 2) Due to personal impacts from the virus, we do not have a director to manage the season; 3) Given the age of the kids involved, ensuring a sanitary environment is more difficult (i.e. kids not wiping their faces and then touching others, etc). As a result, we will have to hope for better outcomes for the spring season.

Refunds for the spring season have been processed and should be in members' hands already or very soon.

WMAA will begin registration for the winter basketball season in the very near term. We will NOT be collecting registration fees, however, until we can confirm that we will be able to hold a season. At this time, we are unable to request use of FCPS facilities and will stay abreast of any changes there that will allow us to do so. The registration is critical, however, to help WMAA to gauge interest in this historically popular sport offering! Please look for word soon that registration is open.
